BHOPAL, SUNIL GOYAL: Approval has been granted for financial assistance to startups participating in both national and international events, with a sanctioned amount of Rs 164 crore 49 lakh for the expansion of the Super Speciality Hospital under Medical College, Rewa.
In a meeting presided over by Chief Minister Dr. Mohan Yadav, the Council of Ministers has decided to amend the Madhya Pradesh Start-up Policy and Implementation Plan, 2022. As per the amendment, startups in the state will receive financial aid for their involvement in national and international events. For domestic events, reimbursement of 75% of the incurred expenditure per event, up to a maximum of Rs 50 thousand, will be provided. For international events, a reimbursement of 75% of the incurred expenditure per event, up to a maximum of Rs 1 lakh 50 thousand, will be facilitated. Each startup can avail of assistance once per financial year and a maximum of two times throughout its entire lifetime.
Additionally, the Cabinet has granted revised administrative approval of Rs 164 crore 49 lakh for the expansion of the Super Speciality Hospital under the Medical College, Rewa. An additional sanction of Rs 25 crore 31 lakh has been allocated for the expansion, earmarked for new ICU beds, cath lab, construction of private wards, and the acquisition of furniture, among other purposes. The initial approval for the construction of the Super Speciality Hospital was Rs 139 crore 18 lakh, and it has now been increased to Rs 164 crore 49 lakh.
